Up N' Down Cali's Central Coast

During the past two weekends I have decided to do a bit of exploring. One week ago I ended up at Montano D'Oro State park up between San Luis Obispo and Morrow Bay on the coast. It was pretty nice with a few hiking trails. Last weekend I was a little more adventerous....aka bored, and decided to haul myself up towards Monterey, so I drove up the 101 on the way there and took the PCH back down. Got my first moon shot too! It's at the bottom. Some day I'm hoping to get myself a 70-200mm F2.8 lens and snatch a 2x teleconverter. With my camera (EOS D7) I could have an effective 600 mm lense at F5.6. Then I could get some really beautiful moon shots, maybe one of mars too ;). Enjoy!

Rocket Launch

There was a rocket launch today of a Minuteman III missle from Vandenberg AFB. My roomie, his gf, and I went out to surf beach to see it launch. Here are a few of the pictures.

Jalama County Beach

Went out exploring today after being let off from work for the day. Damned paper work. But, I did get a chance to enjoy the day and take some pictures of the coast near Lompoc.

Took myself and my new camera out to San Pedro for the first sunset of the decade. It was amazing....

Last Days of '09

I survived!!! Done my B.S. in Astronautical Engineering (rocket science) and now headed up to my next job. For Christmas/Graduation, my parents got me a new Canon 7D, which I'd have to say is a sweet camera. I can only keep it as long as I keep sending them good pictures, which won't be so hard. Enjoy!

Gradutation

I'm not officially done with college until December 16th, 2009, but I walked with all of my friends on friday. It was an awesome day, esp the Governator's speech to the students. Here's some of the pics from this great day!
